About the role#
K1 Investment Management is hiring an Analyst for our Diligence team in Manhattan Beach. This is a full-time, on-site position starting in Fall 2027. We train investment professionals directly from school or lateral backgrounds, providing a path into private equity.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate new investments and identify key levers to drive value creation after a deal closes.
- Meet with founders, CEOs, senior executives, and third-party advisors.
- Build financial models and run proprietary analyses.
- Review materials as part of cross-functional deal teams.
- Present potential investments to the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with finance teams at portfolio companies to develop quarterly and annual budgets.
- Coordinate data collection and diligence sessions with lenders, co-investors, and other financing sources.
- Work with internal deal, finance, accounting, legal, and operations teams.

- A Bachelor's degree and a strong academic record.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

- Compensation: $95,000 base salary plus a bonus and benefits including 401(k), profit sharing, and daily catered lunch.
