About the role#
The Global Planning Co-Op supports supply chain and process improvement initiatives at our Gurabo site. You will apply methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and JJPS to drive continuous improvement. This is a full time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a term running from January to December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support process improvement initiatives using JJPS, Lean Manufacturing, and BEx methods.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, conduct trainings, and help generate improvement ideas.
- Generate reports from internal systems to support the Global Planning department.
- Perform transactional and documentation tasks to assist with site shipments.
- Assist with capacity analysis, MDA documentation, master data revision, and project management.
- Support materials readiness, scheduling optimization, and event process reviews.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your freshman year at an accredited university.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Industrial Engineering, Data Science, material management, or a related field.
- Standing as at least a fourth year engineering student.
- A cumulative GPA of 4.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Active participation in extracurricular activities or student associations related to your field.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future visa sponsorship.
- Previous internship, co-op, or academic research experience is preferred.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related research fields is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of statistical and cost analysis is preferred.
