About the role#
The Engineering Development Co-Op program provides hands-on experience in product development and manufacturing. You will work directly with engineering teams to support project work, testing, and process improvements. This role offers exposure to engineering principles and real-world problem-solving within a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with design, prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Support CAD modeling and implement design updates under guidance.
- Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize results.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test reports.
- Support manufacturing, laboratory, or shop floor activities.
- Participate in team meetings and present project progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related engineering fields.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Enrollment as a full-time student throughout the assignment.
- Preferred: Previous internship, laboratory, manufacturing, or research experience.
- Preferred: Experience with data analysis tools like Python or MATLAB.
- Preferred: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, or continuous improvement.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.

- Location: San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.
- Term: January to December 2027.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Status: Paid, full-time position.
