About the role#
The AIC Sustaining Team focuses on system updates for the Automated Impella Controller. You will support global distribution of cybersecurity enhancements and implement improvements for high-priority CAPAs. This role involves investigating field-reported issues and performing system-level testing to ensure integration across software, optical, and hardware interfaces.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and execute system-level integration and regression test plans.
- Verify software, optical, and hardware interfaces for the AIC platform.
- Investigate field-reported issues in the lab and create reproducible test cases.
- Support root-cause analysis for escalations and high-priority CAPAs.
- Prepare verification evidence and update BOMs, work instructions, and drawings.
- Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Software, and Manufacturing teams to align verification strategies.
- Assist in system-level risk assessments and contribute to design changes and regulatory submissions.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong design, testing, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or a comparable CAD program is preferred.
