About the role#
This co-op position is for an entry-level CNC Operator at NyproMold. You will join our machining team to assist in operating and maintaining CNC equipment. This role is designed for individuals who want to start a career in precision manufacturing and tooling.
What you'll do#
- Operate CNC machines under supervision.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function and detect issues.
- Perform tool changes and offsets as directed.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and setup sheets.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completion of or active enrollment in vocational school.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Basic math skills, including measurement, fractions, and decimals.
- Exposure to CNC machining through coursework, training, or internships.
- Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and small components.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
