About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work within the aerospace industry at the Valencia, California facility. You will work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts to support fluid motion control and environmental control system solutions. The role is a full-time, 12-week commitment running from May to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform research, design, analysis, testing, and documentation for diverse products including composites, metals, elastomerics, electric heaters, acoustics, and aerodynamics.
- Gain hands-on experience with technology and projects related to aerospace applications.
- Learn about engineering processes, product development, and problem-solving strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or closely related field, with preference for Junior or Senior students.
- Proficiency in CAD design, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Catia v5/v6, MATLAB/Simulink, or FEA software such as ANSYS or NASTRAN.
- Background in design or testing, particularly within the aerospace industry.

- Term: Summer 2027 (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position, ranging from $28.00 to $33.00 per hour.
