About the role#
As a Data Analytics / AI Intern, you will support the creation of business intelligence and reporting solutions that help the organization make data-informed decisions. You will work alongside IT, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements, build dashboards, and analyze data to improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring analytics reports.
- Gather business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders across the company.
- Analyze enterprise data to identify trends and generate insights.
- Validate report logic and dashboard functionality with business users.
- Review legacy reporting processes in Excel or MS Access to find opportunities for automation and better data quality.
- Convert manual reports into standardized, repeatable solutions.
- Use AI tools to assist with dashboard creation and functional specifications.
- Develop AI-assisted prototypes for knowledge search and operational reporting.
- Document data sources, requirements, and governance processes.
- Present your project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Analytics.
- Preference for students entering their Junior or Senior year.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau and Power Automate.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Irvine, California.
- The internship runs from May to August 2027.
- This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.
- The hourly pay range for this role is $28.00 to $33.00.
