About the role#
As a Market Analysis Tool Intern, you will join the Day-Ahead & FTR Market Applications team. You will gain experience where software development, data analytics, AI, and the electric grid intersect. This role involves working with experienced professionals to support the technology behind efficient electricity market operations.
What you'll do#
- Enhance, test, and automate applications that support wholesale electricity markets.
- Explore real market data and contribute to software and analytics projects.
- Learn how AI-driven tools can improve productivity in mission-critical systems.
- Improve application performance and streamline testing.
- Identify automation opportunities to support reliable energy markets.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of or experience with Python, Java, Oracle, Postgres, or other relational databases.
- Interest in using AI tools for code development, analysis, automation, or productivity improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
