About the role#
Desk Assistants work in the Residential Hall Office and Student Union to support administrative tasks for Residence Life. Staff members take part in a training program and assist the Resident Assistant staff with community building. There are 10 openings available for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Check in mail and packages for residents.
- Provide general information and customer service.
- Perform clerical tasks.
- Assist residential students.
- Provide backup for cleaning tables in the Student Union.
- Assist in maintaining a healthy living environment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Federal Work Study eligibility.
- A minimum 2.5 GPA.

- This role is located in Marshalltown, Iowa.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time position paid at $9.00 per hour.
