About the role#
This position supports the daily operations of the Equestrian Center at Ellsworth Community College. You will assist with facility maintenance and the care of horses within the educational program. This is a paid, part-time role for the 2026-2027 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Clean stalls, equipment, and the facility.
- Prepare bedding and maintenance equipment for weekend events.
- Maintain the riding arena footing.
- Monitor events held in the rental facility during weekends.
- Provide basic care for horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, turnout, and exercise.
- Administer first aid to horses as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow directions.
- The ability to work on your own or alongside other student workers.
- A willingness to learn new skills, such as basic horse safety and equipment maintenance.
- A helpful attitude and good interpersonal skills.
