About the role#
This is a one-month internship position for Summer 2026 at a commercial laboratory specializing in the recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. You will work on-site in Kamloops, British Columbia, supporting metallurgical testing operations.
What you'll do#
- Receive and prepare samples for laboratory testing based on client requests.
- Conduct metallurgical tests, including gravity concentration, flotation concentration, and leaching.
- Review, prepare, and analyze testing data.
- Identify and resolve quality control issues.
- Provide direction and supervision for testing processes as needed.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the workspace remains clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or Physics.
- Ability to perform metallurgical testing and data analysis.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles.
- Capability to maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
- Previous laboratory experience is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid position with a salary up to $23.00 per hour.
