About the role#
Interac Corp. is hiring a Product Design Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Toronto. You will join our Product Design team to help develop, evaluate, and refine digital products. This role operates under a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Support Product Designers with daily tasks including prototyping, iteration, and design critiques.
- Create prototypes for presentations, user testing, and product development.
- Take ownership of design work and present concepts to stakeholders.
- Contribute to design initiatives for e-Transfer.
- Execute design solutions in Figma and contribute to design systems.
- Review and refine designs to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and support the UX Research team with research activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing an undergraduate degree or certificate from a Canadian institution in Interaction Design, UX/UI, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your direct contributions and design capabilities.
- High proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Figjam and Jira.
- Ability to create designs ranging from low to high fidelity.
- Understanding of UX and UI design best practices.
- Passion for mobile and desktop experiences and responsive web design.
- Ability to empathize with user needs, ideate solutions, and explain your design rationale.
- Strong verbal communication skills and proven time management abilities.
