About the role#
As an Innovation Intern, you will join the Innovation Practice squad to help foster a culture of innovation across our organization. You will contribute to the development and launch of various innovation events, crowdsourcing initiatives, and co-creation sessions. This role requires a mix of strategic, problem-solving, and analytical skills to help structure ideas and support our team in delivering new offerings.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design and development of innovation events, including the Creativity Festival and the Interac University Innovation Challenge.
- Support the Interac Studio team in designing and delivering co-creation workshops.
- Plan and assist with company-wide kick-off events such as Interac Live.
- Shadow team members during product engagement conversations and assist with the development of Proof of Concept proposals.
- Conduct research to gather data and provide benchmarks that inform strategic planning.
- Frame complex problems into clear concepts and present your ideas to internal teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing an undergraduate degree in Design, Communications, Commerce, Information, Industrial Design, Advertising, or a similar field.
- Ability to organize complex, event-based projects and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
- Knowledge of design thinking methods and techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- A self-starting attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new environments.
- Attention to detail and proven time management skills.
- Familiarity with relationship building or previous experience participating in hackathons or case competitions is an asset.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Location: Toronto, Ontario (downtown office near Union Station).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full time, paid position at $25 per hour.
