About the role#
Inter Miami CF is seeking a Communications Intern to join the Number 10 Internship program for the Winter 2027 season. This part-time, paid role supports the Communications Department with daily media relations and event press operations. You will work on-site in Miami, Florida, for the duration of the program, which runs from January 11, 2027, to June 4, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage media credentialing, including sending advisories, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with security to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare for events by organizing credentials, creating seating charts, and producing name tags.
- Assist the department with matchday media relations, such as press box management and gathering post-match quotes.
- Compile and distribute event information like timelines and parking details to media members.
- Maintain and grow the club media distribution list by researching new outlets and blogs.
- Track and archive ongoing media coverage by creating daily clip packs.
- Support the team with additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or graduate program in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a professional sports team environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- An outgoing and engaging demeanor.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a plus.
- Familiarity with global soccer, Inter Miami CF, and Major League Soccer is preferred.
- A strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- A passion for fútbol is a plus.
