About the role#
Intact is seeking Accounting Interns for a four-month summer term in 2027. This role is based in our Montreal office and offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience within our corporate finance team. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful financial deliverables, and have the opportunity to present your work to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and reconcile various financial reports.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Review transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Aid in the implementation and documentation of accounting processes and controls.
- Collaborate on initiatives to optimize systems and processes.
- Maintain and update accounting records and databases to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and requests as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Must be an active student during the internship or returning to school in the following semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-reliance, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous internship experience in accounting or finance is considered an asset.

- Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site, 35 hours per week.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
