About the role#
Insulet is hiring a Systems Engineering Co-op for the Design Verification team. You will work within the Mechanical, Materials, and Design Verification Test Center of Excellence. This role supports the technical design and development of products by assisting with the design verification process. You will report to the Systems Design Verification Leader at our headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Design, set up, and run feasibility tests in an engineering lab.
- Focus on simulated use testing that mimics typical and non-typical user behavior.
- Author and assist with product characterization and verification test reports.
- Perform verification testing on products currently under development.
- Author product issue records and manage them through to closure.
- Participate in technical and design reviews.
- Support the broader systems team with other required tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate engineering degree program (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with personal computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- A working knowledge of engineering principles and scientific methods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
