About the role#
The Systems Engineering team at Insulet builds and tests medical devices that support patients around the world. As a co-op in the Next Gen Platforms group, you will join our R&D team to support the development of wearable pump technology. You will gain broad exposure to the medical device lifecycle, including design, verification, and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Partner with engineers to test products, identify bugs, and troubleshoot design issues.
- Participate in product design, technical reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
- Develop requirements and risk documentation to ensure product safety.
- Work hands-on with lab equipment to execute various levels of testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables.
- Participate in engineering evaluations and data analysis reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited BS program for biomedical, electrical, computer, chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with lab testing equipment.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- A professional, dependable, and inquisitive approach to engineering work.
