About the role#
The Summer Financial Planning and Analysis Intern will join our finance team for an immersive experience. You will support the analytical engine behind our revenue and growth strategy. Working alongside experienced analysts, you will contribute to building models that quantify growth drivers and evaluate account performance. This role is for a student who wants to translate classroom finance and analytics into real business impact by informing forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain financial models to isolate and quantify revenue growth drivers like volume, mix, and new-account contribution.
- Analyze account and physician data to identify growth characteristics and summarize trends.
- Evaluate how operational KPIs factor into future revenue and forecast accuracy.
- Compile data from multiple sources to perform variance and trend analysis.
- Create clear outputs such as tables, charts, and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Support planning cycles including budgeting and business review deliverables.
- Document field reports and complete quality system training requirements.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and process-improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date following the internship.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and financial modeling.
- Foundational understanding of core financial and accounting concepts.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience in FP&A, consulting, or data analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
- Interest in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
