About the role#

This PRN Diagnostic Imaging Student position at Methodist Hospital involves providing direct patient care and clerical support within the imaging department. The role requires a commitment of approximately 12 hours per week with rotating shifts.

What you'll do#

• Provide direct patient care for designated imaging patients.
• Perform procedures and provide personal care while ensuring surroundings are clean, orderly, and well-stocked.
• Observe patients and report any changes to the technologist.
• Organize tasks and manage a high workload within limited timeframes.
• Utilize knowledge of RIS and PACs for training and problem resolution.
• Apply principles of good personal hygiene and aseptic techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in an accredited imaging program.
• An active Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiology Student Permit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of RIS and PACs systems.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
