About the role#
This 10-week internship provides the opportunity to experience life as a Quant Researcher at IMC. Interns work alongside mentors to explore research ideas and build custom analysis tools with the potential for production deployment. The program includes opportunities to deepen knowledge in options theory, market making, algorithm complexity, and trade analysis. Successful performance during the internship may lead to an offer for a full-time Graduate Researcher position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Quant Researchers on projects that impact the business.
- Develop research skills with support and feedback from a dedicated mentor and intern lead.
- Enhance your understanding of options theory through classroom-based instruction.
- Participate in professional development sessions.
- Attend a full schedule of events and social activities to connect with your cohort and employees.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an advanced degree program, such as a PhD in an applied technical field like Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Physics.
- Direct experience in applying deep learning or an academic track record of publications in a related domain.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, C, or C++ is highly desired.
- A passion for research and solving complex problems.
- A creative, driven, and resilient mindset.
