About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Summer 2027 internship based on-site in Shakopee, Minnesota. You will work within the Imagine Studio department, gaining experience in POP display, packaging, and structural design engineering. You will support the team from the initial development phase through to the final production stages.
What you'll do#
- Design POP displays and packaging projects from concept to implementation.
- Create dimensional mock-ups using ArtiosCAD, Adobe CC, CNC cutters, and printers.
- Collaborate with creative team members on rapid ideation and iterative development.
- Work with production and estimating departments to optimize designs and minimize complexity.
- Assist Structural Designers in meetings with Account Executives, Account Managers, and clients.
- Author and build assembly instructions for clients and third parties.
- Maintain procedural and technical documentation.
- Research industry trends and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the production of design deliverables and coordinate internal communication.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Currently enrolled in an Industrial Design, Packaging, or Merchandising Design program.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated and ambitious approach to project work.
