EHS Safety Engineering Intern

About the role#

This EHS Safety Engineering Internship at Igloo Products Corp. provides hands-on experience within the Environmental, Health & Safety team. Reporting to the Director of EHS, you will work on projects designed to improve safety compliance and operational reliability in a manufacturing setting.

What you'll do#

• Review and update Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures for molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Participate in equipment walkthroughs with EHS, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify energy sources and isolation points.
• Standardize and organize LOTO documentation and templates.
• Document findings, procedural gaps, and improvement opportunities related to energy control.
• Verify procedure accuracy through field validation and feedback from operations staff.
• Communicate project progress and findings to cross-functional teams.

What you'll need#

• Current student or recent graduate (minimum rising sophomore level).
• Relevant coursework in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including regular time spent on the production floor.
• Strong attention to detail regarding safety procedures and energy control steps.

• Work Modality: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote).
