Continuous Improvement Intern

About the role#

Igloo Products Corp. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager and focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes through data analysis, automation support, and ergonomic design.

What you'll do#

• Identify the root cause of white colorant discrepancies in the Molding area by mapping current processes and analyzing data.
• Implement corrective actions to reduce or eliminate inventory discrepancies.
• Support automation projects and perform troubleshooting.
• Design concepts for new processes and workstations to promote ergonomics in manufacturing operations.
• Perform administrative functions and provide technical support during new product and process introductions.
• Read, interpret, and create blueprints and sketches.
• Practice 5S daily and participate in Gembas to define problems and assess current situations.

What you'll need#

• Current student or recent graduate (minimum rising sophomore level) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; additional software or programming skills (such as Power BI) are a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 60 lbs, stooping, and bending.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment that can be hot and humid during summer months.
