About the role#
Igloo Products Corp. is seeking a Computer Information Systems (CIS) Intern to join the IT and Data & Analytics team. This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Business Systems and focuses on supporting the business through data analysis, dataset creation, and the development of simple machine learning models to address operational challenges.
What you'll do#
- Support the team by building clean datasets and performing exploratory data analysis.
- Analyze EDI transaction and TRIP failure data to identify recurring error patterns, root causes, and high-impact trading partners.
- Develop a Power BI dashboard combined with Python-based trend analysis to track failure rates, aging, and resolution times.
- Create simple machine learning models to generate actionable insights for business users.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear KPIs and technical questions.
- Summarize findings and present recommendations in an accessible format for non-technical users.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate of a university or college (minimum rising sophomore level).
- Relevant coursework in CIS, MIS, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
- Technical proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy) and data analysis, with comfort using spreadsheets. Familiarity with machine learning (scikit-learn) is a plus.
- Strong soft skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
