    About the role#

    The Service Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience maintaining and operating the Proton Therapy System. You will work alongside experienced team members to learn about system deployment, hardware and software testing, and clinical operations. This role involves exposure to unit, integration, and validation testing within a clinical environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the maintenance and deployment of the Proton Therapy System.
    • Support troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and software equipment issues.
    • Participate in routine preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
    • Conduct system inspections and communicate status updates to leadership.
    • Maintain records in accordance with company quality assurance and FDA regulations.
    • Provide support for daily clinical operations as directed by the site team.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Biomedical Engineering.
    • Relevant coursework or hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical system repair.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and Teams.
    • An interest in cyclotrons, electronics, mechanical systems, or software analysis.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and occasional weekends.
    • Knowledge of local EHS regulations is a plus.

    • Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • This is a paid internship.
    • This role involves working with high voltage equipment, magnetic fields, and hazardous materials. Occupational exposure to radiation is possible. You may be required to meet specific immunization requirements for working in a healthcare setting.
