About the role#
The Rotational Internship provides an end-to-end view of the residential homebuilding business. You will rotate through several departments to understand how land, finance, construction, purchasing, and sales work together to deliver homes. This program is designed for students interested in a leadership career in homebuilding.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through three to five departments, including Land Development, Accounting & Finance, Purchasing, Construction, and Sales & Marketing.
- Complete defined assignments in each rotation, such as reviewing land deals, assisting with budgets, conducting quality walks, or supporting marketing campaigns.
- Learn how departments interact across the homebuilding lifecycle, from land acquisition to home closing.
- Attend leadership meetings to observe how key business decisions are made.
- Build relationships with department mentors.
- Complete a capstone project of your choice and present findings and recommendations to the leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job-site and community visits.
- Demonstrated leadership through student organizations, athletics, work, or community involvement.
- Prior internship experience in real estate, construction, finance, or a related industry is preferred.
- Interest in a leadership development or management track after graduation.
