About the role#
Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. is hiring Summer Engineering Sales Interns for the 2027 summer term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship focused on the intersection of technical engineering and business development. You will work within our sales engineering team to support our commercial HVAC equipment and control systems operations.
What you'll do#
- Use your technical knowledge and sales strategy to maximize equipment sales.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Manage a network of contacts and keep a pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Propose changes to equipment or processes to improve operations and reduce costs for clients.
- Learn about our products, industry trends, finance, and competition.
- Educate clients on product specifications, pricing, and equipment details.
- Follow and uphold company core values in all professional interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong preference for candidates with prior co-op or internship experience.
- Active participation in student organizations or extracurricular activities.
- High levels of self-motivation, financial motivation, and a competitive drive.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Analytical thinking and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Ability to streamline processes and make decisive choices when navigating conflicts.
Location & details#
This role is available in the following locations: Asheville, NC; Charlotte, NC; Greensboro, NC; Raleigh, NC; Wilmington, NC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Chattanooga, TN; Knoxville, TN; Nashville, TN; Charleston, SC; Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; and Chesapeake, VA. This is an on-site, full-time position for Summer 2027.
