About the role#
Hill College is hiring a Student Worker for the Information Technology department. This position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff. You will help with daily operations and assist with various technology projects across campus. This is a part-time, paid role with a rolling application window.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support via help desk tickets, phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Help users with password resets, software installation, printer issues, and network connectivity.
- Set up and maintain technology for classrooms, computer labs, and campus events.
- Perform routine inventory checks and basic hardware or software maintenance.
- Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist staff with departmental projects and user account management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Hill College with at least a 2.0 GPA.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to others.
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends for events as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
