About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to support plant safety and environmental initiatives. The internship runs from May 24th to August 13th.
What you'll do#
- Conduct site inspections and audits.
- Manage and contribute to PPE projects.
- Participate in risk assessments.
- Assist in the development of safety procedures.
- Complete plant safety and environmental projects.
- Collect, track, and report safety data.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of basic safety principles, hazard recognition, and PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and incident investigation fundamentals.
- Ability to interpret procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written communication skills for reports and procedure development.
- Ability to communicate safety expectations clearly to employees.
- A safety-conscious mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
