About the role#
As a Reliability Systems Intern, you will work with maintenance teams to monitor equipment performance and improve reliability. This position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, focusing on data analysis and site operations.
What you'll do#
- Track equipment downtime and help identify causes of failure.
- Support root cause analysis activities to prevent future issues.
- Analyze maintenance data, work order history, and equipment trends.
- Participate in preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Learn safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects, such as spare parts optimization and maintenance planning.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on equipment inspections and documentation updates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A strong interest in industrial operations, maintenance, and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing plant and follow all safety requirements.
- Experience with SAP, CMMS, AutoCAD, Power BI, or reliability concepts is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 (January 11th to August 13th).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $22-$27 per hour.
- This role is paid and does not offer housing or relocation support.
