About the role#
Henkel is hiring an R&D Engineering Intern for the Adhesive Technologies business unit in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a full-time, on-site internship spanning Summer and Fall 2027. You will work directly in a laboratory environment to support the development of new and existing products.
What you'll do#
- Create and test product coating formulations to meet performance requirements.
- Conduct experiments and technical procedures to support product development.
- Plan and execute tests to ensure formulations meet critical-to-quality standards.
- Gather and analyze ideas from the R&D team to improve product functionality.
- Translate experimental test results into actionable insights.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with customer needs.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior status pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to analyze structured data to identify patterns in material behavior.
- Experience in developing structure-property relationships for material design.
- A strong foundation in materials science, data interpretation, and experimental analysis.
Location & details#
- Location: Lexington, Kentucky.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Duration: July 13, 2027, through mid-December 2027.
- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour.
- Note: This position does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support.
