About the role#
This is a one-year internship focused on product development for the Automotive OEM market within our Adhesive Technologies business unit. You will work on-site in Madison Heights, Michigan, from January 11th through December 24th. This is a paid position with a salary range of $22-27 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop products for the automotive industry.
- Run laboratory experiments and pilot-scale processes to test new raw materials and formulations.
- Use industrial chemistry techniques to help optimize product development.
- Maintain and operate scientific instruments for testing and analysis.
- Write technical reports and present your experimental findings.
- Learn and apply new chemical processes and technologies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a sophomore or junior student studying Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- You have experience with basic laboratory practices, safety protocols, and handling chemical substances.
- You can gather, interpret, and analyze large data sets.
- You are familiar with scientific instruments used for chemical analysis.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You can troubleshoot experiments and suggest data-driven improvements.
- You have experience working in team environments.
