About the role#
As a Product Development Intern, you will join a small team focused on structural bonding solutions. You will work directly with professionals on brands like Technomelt and Loctite to develop adhesives that meet specific market requirements.
What you'll do#
- Formulate structural adhesives, including polyurethanes.
- Prepare and test lab-scale adhesive formulations under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Use digital scientific tools to speed up product development and analyze data.
- Contribute to lab experimentation, ideation, and the evaluation of test results.
- Support innovation projects focused on next-generation adhesive technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student graduating in 2029 or 2030.
- Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Polymer Sciences, Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or hands-on experience in chemistry, polymers, polyamides, or materials science.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for a lab environment.
- Interest in applying digital tools to scientific research.

- Location: Elgin, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24th to August 13th).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid internship.
