The BCBA Fellowship at Helping Hands Family provides a structured clinical program designed to help you earn supervision hours while working in a one-on-one ABA intervention setting. This full-time, paid position supports your professional development toward sitting for the BCBA exam by balancing direct client care with unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction and positive reinforcement.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Guide clients toward safe behaviors while gradually reducing prompts to foster independence.
- Accurately collect and record unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Engage in unrestricted activities including conducting assessments, training caregivers, researching relevant literature, and writing behavior-analytic programs.
- Work alongside a BCBA mentor to gain guided practice in clinical responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB-approved Master’s or Certification Program (must meet specific accreditation or pass-rate criteria).
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment if not already certified.
- Must be an active RBT with Helping Hands Family for at least 60 days.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families and documenting session notes.
- Academic background in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Biomedical Sciences.

- Location: 1165 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $20—$24 per hour.
