About the role#
This role supports the daily operations of the Kids Next Door childcare center at Heart of America Medical Center. You will assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment while helping to coordinate classroom activities. The position requires daily interaction with children, parents, and other staff members.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct care for children and supervise other caregivers.
- Help develop and implement curriculum, including group activities, observations, and nutrition.
- Create an orderly, healthy, and educational environment for the children.
- Maintain daily communication with parents and encourage their involvement in classroom activities.
- Adhere to facility safety policies and safeguard protected health information.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Follow IT security protocols for company devices.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Maturity, good judgment, and a genuine interest in working with children and their families.
- Ability to complete a department-approved basic childcare course within your first three months.
- Commitment to completing 13 hours of department-approved childcare training every year.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for long periods.

- Location: Rugby, North Dakota.
- Schedule: After school hours until 6:00 PM.
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position with rolling start dates.
