About the role#
Heart of America Medical Center is hiring for a Daycare Co Op. This role involves assisting with daily operations at the Kids Next Door childcare center. You will work in a classroom setting, supervise caregivers, and help implement state licensing regulations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for children.
- Help develop and implement classroom curriculum, including group activities, observations, and individualized learning.
- Provide direct care for children based on scheduling and staffing ratios.
- Communicate daily with parents and provide opportunities for them to discuss concerns or get involved.
- Create an orderly and inviting learning space.
- Assist with nutrition, hygiene, and rest routines.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Maturity, good judgment, and a genuine interest in working with children and their parents.
- Ability to complete a department-approved basic childcare course within your first three months.
- Commitment to completing at least thirteen hours of department-approved childcare training every year.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods, move between tasks, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

- Location: Rugby, North Dakota.
- Schedule: After-school hours until closing at 6:00 PM.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, part-time position with rolling start dates.
