About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based at our corporate headquarters in Holland, Michigan. You will join a cohort of approximately 50 interns for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. This role focuses on the business side of construction within our Architectural Solutions team.
What you'll do#
- Build skills in estimating, pricing strategy, quantity takeoffs, sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
- Participate in making strategic and tactical cost and sourcing decisions.
- Attend NeoCon, the commercial design event, to observe industry trends.
- Participate in workshops covering networking, public speaking, and AI tools.
- Connect with mentors and observe office and manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Business Administration, Sales, or Supply Chain Management.
- Must reach at least a level status by Fall of 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
- A GPA of 2.95 or higher is preferred.
- Experience in prior employment, extra-curricular activities, or with Haworth is preferred.
- Knowledge of estimating, quoting, procurement, project management, or logistics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and clear verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
