Cayenta, a division of Harris Computer, is seeking a Co-op Student Developer to join the Research & Development team for an 8-month term during Summer 2027. This role focuses on the Product Modernization project, providing exposure to technologies such as Go, React, and GraphQL. You will work under the mentorship of experienced developers to solve challenges related to the modernization of enterprise software systems.
What you'll do#
- Contribute software code to the Product Modernization project.
- Participate as a contributing member of the Cayenta software development team.
- Test developed features and code.
- Collaborate with other members of the development organization.
- Engage in team and company-based initiatives and discussions.
- Coordinate product support on a rotating basis.
- Provide and receive ongoing feedback.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th-year student in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, having completed second-year coursework.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is remote, with the requirement that candidates are able to travel to Burnaby, British Columbia, as needed.
- Work modality includes both remote and hybrid options.
