About the role#
Hankey Group is hiring a part-time Accounting Intern to support the business office for Midway Auto Group, including Midway Car Rental and Midway Leasing. This is a 90-day internship with the potential to transition into a full-time role. You will work 20-24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Enter new vehicles into rental software and update purchase schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile vehicle inventory and flooring schedules.
- Process new vehicle titles, registrations, and renewals.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks.
- Process Wholesale Reports of Sales and funding receipts.
- Manage record-keeping for titles and prepare documents for shipment.
- Scan and upload files while maintaining confidentiality.
- Release liability with the DMV.
- Transport company vehicles between locations.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Expected graduation date between Winter 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to type 50+ WPM and use 10-key by touch.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving history and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, including a drug test, SSN validation, and criminal record check.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Los Angeles, California.
- Pay is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour plus a monthly bonus.
- Driving record requirements include no drug or alcohol-related incidents in the last 3 years, no more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years, and no license suspensions or revocations within the last 3-5 years.
