About the role#
Hamilton Beach Brands Inc. is hiring an Industrial Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Southern Pines, North Carolina facility. This site operates as a returns, repair, and refurbishment center along with a parts distribution hub. You will work full time during the summer with the potential to continue in a part-time capacity during the school year if it works for both parties. You will work alongside and receive mentorship from local management.
What you'll do#
- Perform time-motion studies.
- Optimize production lines and work cell balance for product refurbishment.
- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support quality control, quality assurance inspection, and testing efforts.
- Prepare and automate reports and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
- Conduct data analysis.
- Deliver written and oral presentations to corporate management.
What you'll need#
- Completion of three years of an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree program.
- A major in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Students in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering will be considered if they have relevant coursework or work experience.
