About the role#
The IT Support Intern assists with the administration and maintenance of our technology systems. You will support our hardware and software needs while helping to manage our growing infrastructure. This is a part-time, hybrid position.
What you'll do#
- Provide hardware and software support to both office and field staff.
- Review, respond to, and escalate help desk tickets.
- Manage the inventory, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of company hardware.
- Administer various software programs.
- Contribute to infrastructure consolidation, cyber security efforts, and device management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with your team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems.
- Previous experience in an IT or technology-related environment, such as a prior internship, work-study, or part-time role.
- Prior experience with help desk or service desk operations.
- Familiarity with mobile devices running iOS and Android.
- Proficiency with Microsoft platforms, including Windows 10/11, Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and executives when troubleshooting.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Evanston, Illinois.
- You will work in a hybrid capacity, with at least one day per week required onsite.
