About the role#
The Milner Student Health, Wellness, and Counseling Center offers a part-time, unpaid training experience for graduate students in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or related fields. This role provides on-site individual supervision with a licensed mental health professional. You will receive guidance through didactics, case conceptualization, and feedback on recorded therapy sessions. The Center maintains communication with your home institution to support your clinical training.
What you'll do#
- Provide individual therapy to students.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions when available.
- Participate in campus outreach efforts.
- Engage in consultation activities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester of previous clinical practicum experience or equivalent.
- An understanding of diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of mental healthcare ethics.
- Preferred: Experience with Motivational Interviewing.
- Preferred: Interest in substance and alcohol use disorders.
- Preferred: Experience with program development and evaluation.

- The role is on-site and part-time, typically requiring approximately 20 hours per week.
