About the role#
The Guggenheim Securities Investment Banking Summer Associate program is a 10-week internship based in New York City. You will work within small client teams on strategic assignments. This role provides exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. We look for individuals who take initiative and demonstrate maturity in an environment that requires hard work.
What you'll do#
- Support deal teams by developing and maintaining financial models.
- Perform financial and valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow and multiple valuation analysis.
- Conduct company and industry research to identify sector trends and client challenges.
- Prepare client presentations.
- Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
- Develop an understanding of investment banking products such as debt, equity, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring.
What you'll need#
- You must be on track to receive an MBA or J.D. degree in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- 2-5 years of work experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask with limited supervision.
- A genuine interest in finance and problem solving.

- This position is located in New York City, New York.
- The program takes place during the summer of 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with an annual base salary rate of $175,000.
