About the role#
The 2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Market Risk is a 10-week paid program designed to immerse you in the daily operations of a global financial services company. You will gain industry knowledge through business assignments and projects that impact the organization. This role offers the chance to interact with senior leadership and network with colleagues across the company. Successful interns may be considered for the Finance Leadership Development Program upon completion of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of capital frameworks and their impact on asset allocation and business strategies.
- Build and support capital-related databases and interactive dashboards to improve transparency and decision support.
- Interact with senior leadership to enhance business decision-making.
- Participate in daily business tasks and job assignments.
- Network with employees and other interns across various offices.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data and business information.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk.
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn new functions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new information quickly.
