About the role#
As an Algorithmic Trader Intern, you will learn relative value arbitrage trading and work with automated trading systems. You will collaborate with Junior and Senior Traders to gain experience in real-time trading. The role involves researching high-frequency tick data, building mathematical models, and performing time series analysis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with all facets of automated trading.
- Develop expertise in market microstructure and automated trading systems.
- Build and maintain quantitative model tools and analytics.
- Develop, code, and support production-quality automated trading strategies.
- Engage in research projects and an educational program.
- Master relevant programming languages.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or Data Science.
- Minimum major GPA of 3.5/4 or equivalent.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, specifically C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of computing, math, probability, statistics, and finance.
- Demonstrated interest in markets and trading.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is based on-site in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
