Class 1 and 3 Indigenous Operator Internship

About the role#

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. offers a paid internship program for Indigenous applicants interested in building a long-term career as a Class 1 or Class 3 operator within Alberta's energy sector. This program is designed to provide on-the-job training and a clear path toward permanent employment. Participants receive support throughout the internship, including mentorship, workplace preparation, and assistance with logistics such as safety tickets, equipment, and transportation.

What you'll do#

• Operate equipment including hydrovac, vacuum, and water trucks.
• Support fracturing operations at active well sites.
• Participate in well servicing and maintenance alongside service rig crews.
• Perform bulk hauling and transport of fluids, equipment, and materials.

What you'll need#

• Open to Indigenous applicants across Alberta.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training is provided.
• A Class 1 or Class 3 licence is considered an asset but is not required to begin the program.
• Commitment to a long-term career in the energy sector.
• Relevant academic background in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics is noted as part of the program scope.
