About the role#
As an Admissions Ambassador, you act as a primary representative of Greenville University. You help prospective students and their families learn about campus life, academics, and the student experience. This role supports the Office of Admissions through daily operations and recruitment efforts.
What you'll do#
- Lead campus tours for visiting groups and families.
- Support recruitment events like open houses and orientation days.
- Staff the front desk to greet visitors and handle phone inquiries.
- Contact prospective or admitted students through calls, emails, and texts.
- Manage administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and processing application materials.
- Represent the office at recruitment fairs and panels.
- Prepare materials for events such as folders, name tags, and signage.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a degree-seeking student with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and the ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
- Confidence when speaking to groups of various sizes.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the university.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Prior experience in customer service or public speaking is helpful but not required.
