About the role#
Great HealthWorks is looking for an Event Planning & Social Media Intern to join the team in Fort Lauderdale. This is a hands-on, full-time, paid position. You will work with our team to plan and run events while gaining experience in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Work with the planning team to conceptualize and execute events based on client needs.
- Coordinate with vendors to secure decor, materials, and necessary services.
- Handle logistics such as transportation, catering, ticketing, and accommodation.
- Manage administrative tasks including RSVP lists, seating charts, and event files.
- Help with on-site event setup, coordination, and troubleshooting.
- Log and organize physical inventory and manage giveaway items.
- Brainstorm content ideas and plan social media giveaways with the team.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid grasp of grammar and punctuation.
- Experience using social media platforms.
- Ability to manage time and projects effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks like moving files or setting up event spaces.

- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for additional hours based on business needs.
