About the role#
Business Analysts at Grant Street Group serve as the primary liaison between software developers and clients. This role involves managing the lifecycle of software requests, from initial configuration to final testing. You will act as a subject matter expert, helping public sector clients utilize cloud-based applications to improve government processes.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex problems by analyzing calculations, investigating bugs, and proposing new processes.
- Provide ongoing support to clients as a subject matter expert for software functionality.
- Prioritize functionality requests and bug fixes in the ticketing system to guide developer workflows.
- Create technical specifications to convey required software changes and behavior to the development team.
- Test new software changes in beta environments to ensure accuracy and system stability.
- Coordinate software implementations for new clients by configuring tools to meet specific business needs.
- Train clients on software features and task completion workflows.
What you'll need#
- Strong academic performance in fields such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science, Operations Management, or Mathematics.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to explain complex details clearly.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Dedication to continuous learning and technical software usage.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and working with technical specifications.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship position for Summer 2026.
- The role is remote, though there is a requirement for approximately 10-15% travel to meet with clients and colleagues.
- Candidates may choose to work from the company headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
