About the role#
This internship provides John Deere Ag Tech students the chance to work directly in a dealership service department. You will perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience under the guidance of senior technicians, the shop foreman, and the service manager.
What you'll do#
- Complete project assignments focused on service activities.
- Shadow experienced personnel to learn dealership operations.
- Perform basic repairs and diagnostics on equipment and Ag Management Solutions products.
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to build your skills.
- Stay informed on John Deere and competitive product lines.
- Follow all safety regulations while working.
- Track your time and materials used on all jobs.
- Submit required reports and forms for your assignments.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Enrollment in an AAS Degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repairs using technical manuals and special tools.
- Proficiency in operating diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
- A forklift license is preferred.

- Location: Beach, North Dakota.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $22 per hour for the first year and $24 per hour for the second year.
